Site Safety Officer
Job description:
- To ensure the highest quality and standard of safety is provided and followed on construction site
- Responsible for managing and supervising safety works, coordinates with all contractor's Safety Officers, Supervisor and Site Managers to improve working construction environment
- Check the contractor's proposed methods to control and ensure labor safety, hygiene and environment during tendering of the project
- Ensure that approved safety methods are imposed on construction sites by setting up a project safety plan and coordinating with Site Supervisor and Site Manager
- To be present on site and make sure that every safety issue is checked and approved prior to major activities,
- Organize safety awareness programs, and other functions as required to make safety the foremost priority on site
Job Requirement
- Minimum of eight (8) years in the construction industry with a minimum of three (3) years as a safety officer
- The candidate has to have in-depth knowledge of site safety, security and environment maintenance. Knowledge on first aid, technical safety exposure on scaffolding works, construction machine operation, and all other safety hazard on construction sites
- Preferred – currently/ previously worked for foreign company
- Minimum –Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering
- Experienced with MS office
- Good organization and planning, multi-tasking skills,communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Capable in managing all relevant work to meet deadlines
