CrudeSuite Desktop (CSD)CrudeSuite Desktop is a powerful tool for managing and manipulating crude oil information. It allows users to search and view crude oil data, displaying a wide range of graphs and explore the underlying laboratory measurements. Incorporating a multi-tower commercial fractionation model, it can provide input directly into a range of industry-standard simulation, optimisation and scheduling packages.
Advanced statistical methods allow new crude oils to be reconstructed from sparse measurements with remarkable accuracy. Library crude oils can also be modified on the basis of new measurements, altering profiles across all properties to match flash assay data. All predictions are provided with error estimates, making risk assessment easy.
In addition, CSD interfaces fully with the CrudeSync mechanism for enterprise data synchronisation, allowing users to share information instantly between desktop and network users of the CrudeSuite tools.
CrudeSuite Laboratory (CSL)
CrudeSuite Laboratory (CSL) extends the functionality of CSD to provide an AssayWorkup tool geared around the requirements of crude experts entering full assays, whether from in-house or third party labs. This includes specialised modelling extensions and a range of advanced user interface features to provide a streamlined interface for the entry and editing of full assays.
CSL is widely recognised as the industry-leading tool for the workup of full assays. If you work with crude oil data, you are already likely to come across CSL output: for example, all the assays in the marketed assay libraries of Shell, BP and Chevron have been generated from CSL.
CrudeSuite DLL (CS DLL)
CrudeSuite DLL gives users programmatic access to the features and functionality of the CrudeSuite tools. As a dynamically-linked library (DLL), it can be loaded on-demand by other tools where crude information is required, directly providing both textual information and perfect or commercial cut property values.
Data requests are handled by the same engine and database as the desktop tools, ensuring consistency of results and easy integration with corporate data synchronisation mechanisms. The CS DLL calling structure supports automation applications where, for example, it can be used to perform statistical operations or provide data directly into optimisers and simulation tools.
CS DLL can also provide accurate slopes on output values with respect to many system parameters. Used in combination with the cut values of yields and qualities, these allow much more efficient use in real-time systems and as part of optimisation.
CrudeSync
CrudeSync is a secure synchronisation service which:
maintains a central master database of crude oil information,
allows authorised clients to make updates, modifications and deletions in this database, and
propagates these updates to clients across the network
Running off a central server, CrudeSync requires Microsoft SQL Server and IIS. All administration is carried out via a set of easy-to-use web pages.
