Engineering Coordinator - Process
(Singapore - Jurong Island)
Responsibilities:
You will report to the Engineering Manager and responsible for the coordination with the design consultants/engineers, clients’ project representatives and the statutory/authority agencies for the establishment of the design deliverables requirements for submission. The design deliverables are drawings, technical data sheets, design specification documents etc. You will review design deliverables together with the design consultants/engineers and ensure that it is in order for submission (i.e.: it is established in accordance with the contract specification requirements). You will have to attend technical/design clarification and project meetings, coordinate with the project coordination team members, the vendors, and the subcontractors with regards to the workability/constructability of the design.
You will liaise with the planning engineer on the design submission schedule and ensure that all design submissions are on time. You will coordinate with the document controller on the transaction of the design deliverables to ensure that the flow of the documents is smooth and correct. You will assist the procurement team by providing all necessary technical inputs to facilitate award of procurement/subcontract packages, attend technical clarifications as and when required and also assist QA/QC & Site Construction Team to address technical issues and establish method statements.
Requirements:
Degree in either Chemical Engineering or Oil & Gas engineering
At least 3 to 5 years of working experiences in Petrochemical Plant Projects, Power Plant Projects and/or Oil & Gas distribution project
Exposure to design consultancy work for power plant installation such as designing of steam/gas turbine system, flare stack & blow down systems, water treatment plant and process distribution system
Able to analyze mass & heat balance diagram, process flow data
Good knowledge of software programming such as Hysys will be an added advantage
